Arriving
From arrival to departure.
Bandaranaike International Airport is around 35 kilometres from the hotel, usually 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. Share your flight details and we can arrange a private, air-conditioned vehicle with one of our regular drivers waiting in arrivals. Transfers back to the airport can also be arranged.
If you are driving, complimentary on-site parking is available at 32 Alfred House Avenue for hotel guests and dining guests, subject to availability. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged, subject to availability; see our terms for the charges.

The quiet hours
A library with a past.
Behind a wall of glass beside the garden, our library is a small, quiet space with floor-to-ceiling shelves, deep leather armchairs and a table for eight. It is filled with books, old magazines and almost a century of National Geographic issues, giving you plenty to browse when you feel like putting your phone away.
The library is available to hotel guests and is rarely busy, making it an easy place to spend an hour after breakfast or lunch, read, catch up on some work or simply enjoy the quiet. The table can also be used for small private conversations or meetings, with the door closed when you need a little more privacy.

A room for work
For meetings and focused work, the Scarlet Room accommodates up to 30 guests with a projector and screen. The Library offers a quieter setting for smaller groups of up to eight. Both can be booked by the half day or full day.

Turndown service
Return in the evening to a room prepared for the night. Our team can refresh the space, draw the curtains and make sure everything is comfortable before you settle in.

Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and common areas.
Is parking available?
Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is available for hotel guests and dining guests, subject to availability.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Early check-in between 8:00 and 14:00, and late check-out between 14:00 and 18:00, are charged at 50% of the room rate; an earlier arrival or a later departure is charged at the full night rate on a room-only basis.
Can I use the pool if I am not staying at the hotel?
Yes, through our Dine & Dip experience, subject to availability and the applicable package terms.
Is there a gym at the hotel?
Yes. Our fitness room includes free weights and cardio equipment and is available to hotel guests from 07:00 to 20:00.
Can you arrange airport transfers?
Yes. We can arrange private airport transfers in an air-conditioned vehicle. Please share your flight details with our Front Office team for rates and arrangements.
