This Urban Boutique Hotel Has Some Big News
The well-known boutique hotel located in the center of one of South Asia’s commercial hubs has some big news. Once known as Colombo Courtyard, South Asia’s FIRST Carbon Neutral, Eco friendly small hotel, is rebranding itself as Colombo Court – Hotel & Spa, focusing on promoting all aspects of its hotel and expanding itself into the wellness arena.
Known for being the cozy hang-out spot right in the center of the city, most Colombo residents have either visited the property for a Quiz Night, a Classic Movie Night, or at least passed by it on the busy street on their way home from work. It has always been the perfect after office hangout, with a killer Happy Hour showcasing 15 signature cocktails with phenomenal deals. But most of all, residents love the ambience and vibe of our industrial Loft Lounge Bar, or the live music playing beneath the stars at Cloud Cafe.
It has not only been a great meetup spot, but also features 32 individually designed rooms and suites, meeting areas, a wine lounge, and of course- the Amber Spa. The common thread that runs throughout every department is a commitment to wellness, both of our planet and of its guests.
The property was built from 5 residential buildings in central Colombo. Using as many materials from the original building as possible, and often incorporating upcycled industrial materials in the interior design. It is not uncommon to find a stray bird sculpture made out of recycled bicycle parts, bar stools made out of tractor seats, or an incredible old collection of vintage National Geographic magazines. The property is full of surprises!
