No visit to Sigiriya is complete without climbing the Lions Rock, an UNESCO World Heritage Site build 1600 years ago, by King Kasyapa, a maligned but brilliant King. Sigiriya is an exquisite example of ancient Sri Lankan art and architecture where you will have insights into Sri Lankan history and culture. Wander around its ruins, while climbing stop to admire the paintings of the ladies of the King’s harem and reach the panoramic view that awaits you.

Tour Itinerary

• 07.00AM – Depart from Colombo Court Hotel & Spa. Take away breakfast can be arranged. – 4 – 4.5 hours’ drive depending on the traffic conditions.

• 11.30AM – Arrive at Sigiriya. Exploring the Sigiriya Citadel would take approximately 2 hours.

• 01.30PM - Exploring the various nooks and crannies in the Sigiriya gardens.

• 02.30PM – lunch

• 03.30PM – Depart from Sigiriya

• 8.00PM – Arrive at Colombo Court Hotel & Spa
